The new 22ADP-584A and the 22ADP-584B duct differential pressure sensors with true auto-zero functionality provide precise pressure measurement. The automatic calibration electronically adjusts the transmitter’s zero reference value every ten minutes. During the adjustment, the output and display values will freeze to the last measured value, eliminating output signal drift due to thermal, electronic, or mechanical effects. The device returns to its normal measuring mode after the one-second calibration process.
Belimo is excited to announce the release of new Room Sensors, which complement the existing sensor product range. The Belimo Room Sensors measure temperature, humidity, and CO₂ in a wall-mounted design offering high accuracy and fast response. The sensors are maintenance-free and provide long-term reliability for a comfortable room environment. Integrated with Near Field Communication (NFC) allows for fast programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting with the Belimo Assistant App and a smartphone. The product series consists of Temperature, Temperature with Setpoint, Temperature and Humidity, and Temperature, Humidity, and CO2. Key features include
Airside Economizing is a great way to reduce operating costs; it also provides the correct ratio of outside air and return air to deliver the proper indoor air quality (IAQ) to meet the codes and ensure occupant comfort. Studies have shown that up to 70% of economizers are not functioning correctly. Many times economizer systems are set up incorrectly or are left to operate in factory default mode. Many failures go undetected, costing building owners unnecessary expense and energy standards and building IAQ requirements are not met.
Belimo released standalone airflow measurement and control actuators with digital communications for rotary, linear, and induct applications. Select actuator models have pressure independent control characteristics combined with an integrated differential pressure sensor to calculate and deliver designed flow regardless of pressure fluctuations in the system.
Belimo devices can be found in a wide range of building applications across the globe – silently and reliably helping to improve occupant comfort and reduce energy consumption through HVAC system optimization. In recent years, advancements in IoT and digitalization have allowed these devices to become “smarter” by generating valuable data that can be used by building owners and managers to continuously improve system performance. Several Belimo devices available today have built-in capabilities that enable this data to be pushed to the Belimo Cloud where it can be stored and viewed by technicians and personnel tasked with managing building systems. Some examples of these devices include those with Ethernet interfaces, like the Energy Valve and -IP actuators. They also include devices with NFC communication capabilities, like the 6-way Electronic Pressure Independent Valve (ePIV), PR actuators, and the new line of airflow control actuators.
Belimo releases new larger sizes inline flow sensors, 2½ to 6” that offer automatic glycol measurement and compensation for optimal system performance. Trusted flow measurement is essential in maximizing HVAC system efficiency and ensuring occupant comfort. Belimo flow sensors utilize ultrasonic technology with glycol compensation to provide accurate and repeatable flow measurements of water and water/glycol mixtures without drift in any HVAC application.
Controlling and monitoring indoor levels of carbon dioxide is essential for everyone’s health, safety, and the energy efficiency of buildings. Similar to how we need to breathe fresh air, so do buildings. Ventilation in a building is the essential process of replacing stale air with fresh air. Without engineered ventilation, buildings become susceptible to stagnant air, mold, bacteria, and potentially harmful gasses like radon, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), and carbon dioxide. Prolonged exposure to these elements can lead to “sick building syndrome” where occupants experience acute health and comfort effects.
At Belimo, we are excited to release new technology innovations for the HVAC market that will increase energy efficiency and reduce installation cost.
